Terms & Conditions

Last updated: June 2026 · Version 1.0 (placeholder — to be reviewed by legal counsel before launch)

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using CitizenVoice you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and a UK resident. You must provide accurate information.

3. Your account

  • One account per person. Duplicate accounts may be suspended without notice.
  • You are responsible for your password and all activity on your account.
  • You must not share, sell, or transfer your account.

4. Acceptable use

  • No fraud, automated answering, or coordinated manipulation of results.
  • No abusive, illegal, defamatory or hateful content in community surveys.
  • No attempts to compromise the service or other users' data.

5. Rewards & vouchers

Points have no cash value and may be revoked in cases of fraud. Vouchers are issued subject to availability and brand terms. Stock is limited; redemption is final once a voucher code has been issued.

6. Referrals

Referrals are only credited once the referred user verifies their email and completes at least 5 surveys. Suspicious referrals may be flagged and reviewed.

7. User content

You retain ownership of content you submit, but grant CitizenVoice a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and aggregate it for the purpose of running the service.

8. Sponsored & client surveys

Sponsored surveys are clearly labelled. Clients only receive anonymised, aggregate results — never raw responses or personal data.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time from Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

10. Liability

The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law we exclude liability for indirect losses. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability where it cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
